COMMUNITY LEARNING CIRCLES
Society and our institutions make it seem as if the only legitimate education spaces are schools and the most effective processes are top-down and authoritative.
Borrowed Knowledge’s goal is to challenge this notion and create space and discussion rooted in principles such as inclusion, accountability, experimentation/creativity, democratic participation, and group leadership.
Borrowed Knowledge currently consists of a community of over 100 people from all over the country. Anyone can join as long as they can adhere to the rules and principles crafted by the BK community. The Borrowed Knowledge spaces are currently all virtual and held on Zoom or Clubhouse.
Learning Circles are planned for once a month. Sign up here to join the Borrowed Knowledge Community. You’ll receive updates for future conversations and events and be added to the BK Listserv.
"We’re gonna have to do more than talk. We’re gonna have to do more than listen. We’re gonna have to do more than learn. We’re gonna have to start practicing and that’s very hard."
- Fred Hampton
